AREN'T YOU EVEN GONNA KISS ME GOODBYE?, a Kirkus Library Review top choice in 1966, was made into a film by William Richert in the 80's starring River Phoenix and a superb cast topped by Ann Magnuson, Meredith Salenger, Louanne, Matthew Perry, Ione Skye and Jason Court. William Richert -- Author, Screenwriter, Producer, Actor and Director -- was given a tribute at Lincoln Center Film Society in 2011 and they described him this way: Wild Bill Richert is the New Hollywood Maverick: A bold, brash uncompromising figure in the tradition of Orson Welles and John Cassavetes, William Richert burst on to the Hollywood scene near the end of the storied 1970s, first as a screenwriter and then as director of the dazzling conspiracy opus Winter Kills.
