Jie Wang is an associate professor in computer information systems. She received a M.Eng. in electrical engineering and holds a Ph.D. degree in computer science. Her teaching interests cover computer information systems, information technology, computer science, informatics and data science. Her research interests include data and computational issues arising from information systems including information management and data mining, information privacy, social media and user-generated content analysis. Her work has led to a total of more than 40 publications in refereed journals and conference proceedings with the topics encompassing data privacy, data mining and applied mathematics among others.
