These unions, usually committed to seeing past the traditional sectarian labels, often struggle when the traditional sources of support for marital life--faith community, family support--are not available. Still, the determination of interfaith couples to negotiate and cross boundaries gives hope to a fractured world. Bonni-Belle Pickard draws from her personal and professional experience to suggest ways of addressing the challenges of interfaith couples and their families.
Author Biography
Bonni-Belle Pickard is a Methodist minister currently working in England. She grew up in Florida and spent twenty years teaching at an international school in South India. Her interest in interfaith marriage emerged as several of her adult children married persons from other faith traditions. Previously she published Extra Special Chocolate: Loving and Learning through International Adoption (2019).
