This volume collects the first issue of The Chief (Four-Color #290), and Indian Chief issues #12, #14, #21, and #27. Stories in these comics portray a life of adventure in a pre-colonial landscape (though with horses, an anachronism we'll ignore), with heros and villains, and dangers from wildlife, weather, and marauders.
