Author Biography

An actor trainer, playwright, and director, Joe Turner Cantú is a professor of Theatre at the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss). For ten years, he was artistic director of Oxford Shakespeare Festival. His teaching expertise is in acting process and acting styles. Joe has also taught at the University of Texas at Austin, the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Northern Arizona University, and at his alma mater, Southern Methodist University, where he earned his M.F.A. in Acting. He is the recipient of acting, playwriting, and teaching awards. He and his husband live in Oxford, Mississippi.
