Product Description

by Crystal Sapir (Contribution by), Delila Vasquez (Author)

This book is about a young girl's childhood growing up discovering life through a DeafBlind lens. She faced many trials and struggles through shyness, feeling different, not fitting in, and low self-esteem to find her way. She realizes that she can get help and she's not alone, and that it's ok to have those types of feelings, through life's ups and downs. She proves herself time and time again with her determination and willpower. Her life experience helped her mature and become a better person with a huge caring heart. She wants to build interpersonal skills, and have healthy relationships, and be a better communicator with peers in more socially acceptable ways to not hurt others' feelings. She sees how the system fails, is unfair, and unequal to students with special needs and wants to encourage other students that are feeling lost or frustrated that we must be confident and shine. We are people, we have rights, we are smart, we can do what we set our mind and hearts out to achieve!
