Author Biography

GENE ALLEN SMITH, professor of history at TCU, is an award-winning teacher and the author/editor of thirteen books. He is the director of TCU's Center for Texas Studies. JACKSON W. PEARSON is an adjunct instructor and PhD candidate in history at TCU. He has published portions of his research in Transactions of the American Philosophical Society.
