Author Biography
Peter Jacobs was born in 1941 at the seaside resort of Herne Bay, Kent, England. In 1952, he, with his parents, immigrated to Christchurch, New Zealand. After completing his secondary school education at the Christchurch Boys' High School, he embarked on a career in the aircraft industry. Working for the New Zealand National Airways Corporation, (later to become Air New Zealand) he became a Licensed Aircraft Radio Maintenance Engineer. Through his career, he always had a liking for writing. He submitted articles for the company's engineering magazine, wrote amendments for the company's manuals and had articles published in newspapers of his early days in New Zealand. In 1978, he also wrote a book on tenancy law which was published in New Zealand. In his retiring years, he has settled near to Hastings in East Sussex and joined the Battle Writers Group. This group have been an inspiration to him to produce this book of short stories, and other tales that could be in the pipeline.
