Some of the famous rivalries include Euthymides and Euphronios; Brunelleschi and Ghiberti; and Leonardo and Michelangelo. Conversely, a few relationships forged by mutual esteem include Sofonisba Anguissola and Lavinia Fontana as well as Jan Vermeyen and the gemstone-cutter Ottavio Miseroni.
