Author Biography
Dr. Barbie J. Taylor is known more affectionately as "Dr. Barbie" to her friends and clients. She graduated from the University of Washington in 1978 with a Ph.D. in clinical psychology, then began the first phase of her career as the Research Coordinator at the Center for Marital and Sexual Studies in Long Beach, California, where she also began her private practice as a clinical psychologist. Preferring to be "on the move," ultimately she taught two hundred psychology students Human Sexual Behavior at Arizona State University, and an extension class at the University of West Virginia on Contemporary Issues in Parapsychology. She has done private practice in California, Arizona, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Nevada. While in the east, Dr. Barbie became a regular on television and radio, as well. She continued doing radio as one of the "Romance Doctors" in Irvine, California. Dr. Barbie moved to Nevada in 1992, while employed as a private consultant for the Bigelow Foundation, which was funding parapsychological research. Her job was to find the world's greatest Medium. She chose George Anderson, and referred Mr. Bigelow to him. Mr. Bigelow ultimately funded some of George Anderson's research. She also did research during the 90s with CSETI, the Center for the Study of Extraterrestrial Intelligence, with Dr. Steven Greer. Dr. Barbie retired as a psychologist in 2014, after over thirty years in practice, and is now writing full time and enjoying retirement.
