Product Description

by Stan Bohall (Author)

I Beheld His Glory: Revelations of Beauty tells how God spoke to the author through beauty. Glimpses of glory came during Stan's Christian formation and music education, as well as through the Scriptures, film and fiction, and livestock. Moreover, the memoir chronicles turning points in the author's life and how he accepted an invitation to become a Roman Catholic. Stan also reflects on how the amount of beauty in a particular place might impact a person's awareness of God. Finally, the author addresses the suggestion that his focus on beauty might distract from the truth.

For over forty years, Stan has worked with people and organizations using his public speaking, teaching, organizing, writing, motivating, and listening skills. His vocation is coaching and mentoring, helping people develop spiritually by interacting with them over shared interests. Stan has worked with individuals as well as small and large groups, helping them create short and long-range plans, build teams, and achieve goals. He holds a Master of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in South Hamilton, Massachusetts. In 2011 he completed a certificate program in spiritual direction from Selah, a ministry of Leadership Transformations, Inc.

Stan particularly enjoys interacting with people about their attraction to stories. He is keenly interested in books by C. S. Lewis, J. R. R. Tolkien, Charles Dickens, and Victor Hugo. His favorite films include Finding Neverland, The Green Mile, and Les Misérables. Stan takes pleasure in exploring how popular stories help people of all ages navigate life's challenges. He has also written creatively about this particular interest.
