Product Description

by Larry Steckler (Author)

Hugo Gernsback was and is best known in the field of Science Fiction, despite the fact that the majority of his life and energies were devoted to pioneering modern electronics, inventing new devices, forcasting with great accuracy future technologies and publishing magazines about electronics. He came to the United States from Luxenbourg in 1900 at the age of 19, with $200 in his pocket and a mind overflowing with innvative ideas. This is his story - written as an un-attributed autobiography. It presents a fascinating insight into the wonderously inventive mind of a man who never stopped thinking up new ideas and never stopped dreaming. Take a lifelong trip with Hugo Gernsback - explore his successes - his disappointments - his lights that failed. He will continue to amaze you long after you have set this book aside, the final page read.
