Product Description

by Tam Pham (Author)

I had no idea how to meet recruiters and find a great job. The only advice I heard around college was to "Just go network."

But what does "networking" even mean? Does that mean I need to suck up to people for them to like me? And why would business professionals even want to chat with a young person like me?

It turns out that I had it all wrong. Networking isn't about exchanging business cards and playing golf to get your foot in the door. I learned that true networking is all about making friends.

With this new mindset and using the strategies I've highlighted in my book, I landed my dream job as the Entrepreneurship Director for Camp BizSmart. I accepted several other job offers like being an event curator for investors and a community leader for Lean Startup. I connected with some of my entrepreneurial heroes like James Altucher and Alex Osterwalder. I landed speaking gigs for clients like Rotary, AIESEC, and TEDx.

I'm at the point where I have to actively turn down opportunities simply because I don't have the bandwidth to say yes to everything. It's a pretty amazing feeling.

I wrote this book to help the younger version of myself avoid the hardships I had to endure and get started on their business journey, the right way.

This book is for complete beginners. You don't need to be extroverted, talented, or already well-connected. All you need is an open mind and 1-2 hours (yes, the book is concise) to lead you in the right direction.

Meeting the right people is a skill that'll open doors for the rest of your life. Plus you can use the same knowledge to meet humans outside of business like friends or your future partner. School won't teach you these skills. But this book will.
