In actuality, we serve ourselves more than anybody else when we choose to love our adversaries and forgive those who have wronged us. Because the Lord will empower us with the Holy Spirit to carry out all of His commands, including loving and treating difficult people well! Use kindness as a weapon to combat people's meanness because the love that flows through us from God is potent enough to soften even the hardest hearts.
