This book is designed to be a digest textbook for both the counselor and counselee. It covers the basic and essential facts both need to know. There are 7 cases studies for those who really want to apply what is taught. There are 3 major sections in the book covering the fundamentals of biblical counseling. There is no attempt or desire to present a worldly or secular approach to counseling. We want to know how would Jesus counsel in a given situation. The Bible is God's counseling manual; it "provides us with all things that pertain to life and godliness" (1 Peter 1:3). This book may also be used to counsel self with sound biblical principles. It would make a great study in a Bible class where members are desirous of learning some Bible ways to help others.
