Author Biography

ABOUT THE AUTHOR Mr. Harekrushna Behera, M.Phil, B.Ed, MBA, NET, Vedanta is presently working as TGT in Social Science, Chinmaya Vidyalaya NTPC Unchahar. He has a research bent of mind to invent many things in the field of education. He experimented many techniques in the field of teaching in social science and became successful. He is the recipient of two national awards such as Gyanadoya Academic Excellance Award 2008 and Dr. Zakir Hussain Great Teacher Award 2011. Mr. Behera belongs to Orissa, India. He started the job of teaching in the year 2000 as Lecturer (History) in Mangala Mahavidyalaya, Puri, Orissa for the sake of tasting and was fallen in love with it, especially with children. He believes that Love & understanding of a teacher is the 'half done' for any teaching. If children like the teacher, automatically subject becomes easy one. Teacher's personality is everything in teaching. His subject 'History' became the most popular and interesting among all as pupils enjoyed the variety in methods of teaching such as quizzing, debating, storytelling, role plays & other activities. Three blogs for class viii, ix & x in internet for Social Science helped a lot to children to share the subject and focus creativity. He prepared a point's notes book for class ix and x for board examination. As a class teacher his class developed first-aid box, class magazine, subject magazine, soft board, elected government, cabinet, current affairs updating & many more. His class room experiences of 15 years inspired him to write number of articles which are published in different national and international magazines like Teacher Plus, Teacher's Net, Yes Teacher and CENBOSEC. Fifty of his articles are published in the web pages such as www.articlesbase.com, www.writersadda.com and www.speakingtree.in . He also helped in counseling children of the nation through Face Book account in internet. Thus his efforts to make himself an updated teacher by developing his own skills and motivating students are great.
