Author Biography

CHINEKWU OBIDOA is associate professor of Global Health Studies and Africana Studies at Mercer University. She earned a PhD from the University of Connecticut and holds Master's degrees in Geography, Public Health, and International and Area Studies. In 2017, Obidoa received the Mercer University Innovation in Teaching Award. EIMAD HOURY is emeritus professor of Political Science and International Affairs at Mercer University. He holds a PhD from Florida State University. Houry developed, led, or co-led 28 study-abroad programs, Mercer's first-ever international internship program, and was a recipient of Mercer's prestigious Joe and Jean Hendricks Excellence in Teaching Award.
