Product Description

by Carl Mimms (Author)

During this time of mass deception running rampant, not only in the United States but also in the entire world, the Lord put it upon my heart to write this book, How Does Your Doctrine Sound? At the end of each chapter, I ask the question "How does your doctrine sound?" It may appear as a rhetorical question and can very well be categorized as such; however, I cannot overemphasize the importance of sound doctrine. With so many different Christian denominations in our nation and around the world, it makes the church seemingly divided. The Master Teacher told the apostle Peter that "on this rock I build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it" (Matthew 16:18 KJV). Notice that Jesus said church, not churches!

The church is a living, breathing organism that was created by God to operate as one body. Doctrine (or teaching) is important to the followers of Christ. This book was written for every believer to look and listen to the doctrine of their church and see if it aligns itself with the doctrine the Bible teaches. Second Timothy 2:15 tells us, "Study to shew (show) yourselves approved to God, a workman that needed not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." The responsibility for every believer is to know the biblical truth for themselves.

So how does your doctrine sound? Thank you for reading!
