Product Description

by Karl Keen (Author)

Danny grew up on a farm outside of Arco, Missouri. He married his high school sweetheart shortly after graduation. He was drafted that same year and sent to Vietnam, where he was wounded and severely disfigured. After a long stay in the Veterans Hospital, he returned to find his wife had moved in with his best friend, forbidding him to see his daughter. Unable to find employment, Danny turned to pills and booze. He began a cold, lonely life living on the streets. Ashamed of his looks, he tried to hide his shame in any way he could. He was badly beaten by one of the many youth gangs that roamed the streets. He sought revenge and ended up in jail. Like so many of our returning veterans, he became lost to society and the world around him-until a single act of kindness on his part made him see that he was blaming the world for a situation that he could correct.
