Product Description
Hobbs Heirloom Premium 80/20 in the extra-wide 120" format is built for longarm quilters working on oversized and king-size tops that need full coverage in a single pass. At 120" wide by 30 yards, one roll backs the largest quilts without piecing the batting.
The blend of 80% natural cotton and 20% fine polyester is needle-punched and lightly resin-bonded for strength and durability. Close quilting gives a flat, low-loft antique look, while wider spacing lets the loft come up slightly. Because the cotton is unbleached, it is best paired with medium and dark fabrics.

Frequently asked questions
How wide is this batting roll?
It is 120" wide by 30 yards, the widest Heirloom 80/20 roll, made to cover king and oversized quilt tops in one piece.
Can I use this with white or light quilts?
This is unbleached natural batting and can slightly shadow through very light fabrics. For white or pastel quilts, choose the bleached Heirloom instead.
How close should I quilt it?
Quilt up to 4" apart. Closer stitching gives a flatter, more durable finish.
Do I need to pre-wash it?
No. Pre-washing is not recommended. Expect 3-5% shrinkage on the first wash.
