Author Biography
John T. Pregler is an independent researcher, historian and author by night and an information solutions consultant by day. John was born and raised in Dubuque, Iowa, where his family has resided since the 1840s. John has been studying local and regional history of national importance since he can remember and started conducting research and collecting information and artifacts on a variety of topics starting in the late 1970s, when he learned that his great-great-grandfather George Pregler and his brother John served in the Civil War, 1861-65, in Iowa military units.
