Author Biography

Carolyn Gibson, Family Herbalist, LMT, MTI, first fell in love with herbs and made her first herbal tea in the 1970's. In the 1980's she was blessed to meet Odena Brannam, considered to be the grandmother of herbs in Texas, who mentored her and took her beyond herbal teas and taught her to make her first herbal medicine. Carolyn has been studying, using and making herbal remedies since. Carolyn was born in Dallas Texas in 1951. She is a licensed massage therapist, massage therapy instructor and a CE provider. Carolyn teaches how to make herbal medicine in her community. Her and her husband Gerald own and operate Dogwood Gardens Organic Farm in Ben Wheeler Texas.
