Having begun collecting minerals in 1972, Michael Gienger underwent training in shiatsu and took a two-year apprenticeship in shamanic healing. A successful self-treatment with healing crystals in 1985 inspired him to pursue further training as an alternative healing practitioner. Michael began testing the healing properties of crystals in 1988 and has since gained international acclaim for his ongoing research in this domain. He is the author of more than 20 publications, a number of which have become standard works in their field and have been translated into 11 languages to date.
