Product Description

by Adam Woog (Author)

Among the Pacific Northwest's many treasures is the Evergreen State, a state rich in eerie events. Haunted Washington, a collection of stories of ghosts, mysteries, and paranormal happenings, will leave readers delightfully frightened.
Haunted Washington includes dozens of stories, from the royal Native American ghost of Seattle's Pike Place Market to the haunted mansion that inspired horrormeister Stephen King's TV mini-series Rose Red - all of them guaranteed to send chills up the spines of even the most daring ghosthunters. Each story includes notes on historical significance and local lore so that readers and visitors can learn more about each ghostly locale.
A bibliography, a resources list of contact information to visit the haunted sites, and a brief "Ghost Hunter's Guide" are also included, giving readers the resources to explore the haunted areas for themselves.

Author Biography

Adam Woog has written some one hundred books for adults, teens, and children. Among them are volumes on mummies, movie monsters, vampires, poltergeists, strange museums, zombies, and illusionists. He also ghostwrote a how-to book by a professional Elvis impersonator.

He has written more articles for periodicals around the world than he could ever count (even if he wanted to, which he doesn't). And he contributes a monthly column to The Seattle Times on crime and mystery fiction. All this keeps him off the streets at night, thus minimizing accidental contact with stray ghosts.

Woog lives in Seattle, Washington, his home town. He and his wife have an adult daughter. His wife has a real job.
