Author Biography

Julie Brooke was taught to knit by her grandmother before she had even started school--and she's been knitting ever since. She began her career as a journalist, interviewing makers of all kinds about their craft. Julie then took her first steps in publishing, working on crafts and interiors magazines. She has gone on to work with a number of international book publishers, working with first-time and established authors to create beautiful and practical craft books including knitting, crochet, macramé, felties, rag rugs, and patchwork. She lives by the sea in Sussex, UK.
