Author Biography

Victor is a member of the Haiku Society of America, World Haiku Club, Tanka Society of America and the Anglo- Japanese Tanka Society. This is his second book. His first one, RUSTLE OF BAMBOO LEAVES, selected haiku and other poems, was published in 2005. In addition to haiku and tanka, the book also includes senryu and vanguard haiku. The poems are grouped into seasonal, sequence, and multilingual in English, Spanish, and Tagalog a Philippine language. Scattered in the volume are haiga or picture poems from his sizable collection since 2000. Susumu Takiguchi, Chairman of World Haiku Club and Editor of its World Haiku Review, wrote the Haiku Introduction. Marjorie Buettner, tanka and haiku poet, author, and eminent reviewer introduced the Tanka Chapter. Ashley Wood designed the book cover.
