Product Description

by Bernard Natt (Author)

In this book the reader is exposed to a life story of a Jewish boy growing up in pre WW II Germany, and of a youth miraculously surviving the Holocaust. As a boy Bernard walks the streets of Frankfurt and sees the transformation of Germany from a democratic state into ruthless dictatorship. In 1938 Bernard leaves Germany trying to escape the Nazis, and immigrates to Holland as a preparation to go to Palestine. But the Germans occupy Holland and Bernard tries to escape the Nazis by returning to Germany with false Dutch documents. Eventually he is caught by the Nazis and is sent to the Auschwitz death camp. With great sensitivity Bernard Natt describes his eventful and touching life story of a Jewish boy growing up in the Nazi hell, and his miraculous survival of it.
