Author Biography
Roger Dier earned a degree in English from Mankato State University (now Minnesota State University, Mankato) and a graduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. A former sports writer and columnist for three newspapers, Dier has written for diverse reading audiences on the subjects of football, hockey, astronomy, and Door County, Wisconsin. He is a past award-winning recipient of the Minnesota Newspaper Association.
In addition to Green & Gold Memories, Dier is also the author of Scarlet Ice, which became an Amazon best seller among hockey titles in March 2012.
He is married to Michelina Dier. Residents of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, they have four adult children and are raising a black lab named Vince Lombardi Dier, who prefers to be called "Vinny."
