Product Description

by Cornell Landry (Author)

Goodnight seafood gumbo, goodnight etouffee! From iconic dishes to sports teams, music, and the region's unique natural environment, this lullaby for young ones celebrates all that Southwest Louisiana has to offer.

Author Biography

Cornell P. Landry claims he is steeped in New Orleans, just like a strong cup of coffee from Café Du Monde. Landry and his work embody the city he has known and loved for decades. Born and raised just across the Mississippi River in what the locals call the Westbank, he grew up in a family where he was surrounded by faith, tradition, and delicious food every single day. Sean Gautreaux spent five years in the Mardi Gras industry in New Orleans. He designed and painted floats, created krewe favors and throws, and designed a doubloon and cup for the Krewe of Okeanos. In 2010 he left the industry and began illustrating children's books.
