We go through our daily lives, happy and content in the routine of work and family life. Not realising that this happy routine is precarious. It can all change. Kevin made the move to Australia in 2004, where he worked as a lecturer in Sociology. He settled into life in Australia and embraced all aspects of a rural Australian lifestyle. Then his father moved to Australia and moved in with him. Life went on pretty much as it did until his father was diagnosed with a respiratory disease. In 2015 Kevin took a sabbatical from work and moved to the UK with his father, who promptly had a heart attack and was diagnosed with lung cancer. Kevin's life changed completely, he became a carer.
