Product Description

by Takao Saito (Author)

Assassination through space and time!

For four decades, Golgo 13 has been the world's greatest assassin for hire--sometimes to settle a private score, and sometimes to change history! His real name and nationality are unknown--but his legend is everywhere. G13 never fails a job, and never sees his clients again--unless they try to betray him!

Headhunter

1983, New York: When an investigator looking into a shady corporate acquisition is run over, his grandfather hires Golgo--but the old man is no armchair spectator to revenge! Then, flash back to early in G13's career: It's 1972, and Golgo has just broken two of his own rules. He's seeing a client again because of the other broken rule: he failed to carry out the job!

Plus film director Macoto Tezka, son of Phoenix's Osamu Tezuka, discusses the media image of the legendary assassin!

Author Biography

In 1965, Takao Saito was asked to create the authorized manga adaptation of Ian Fleming's original James Bond novels, an experience that prepared him well for Saito's own creation, Golgo 13. A longtime publisher as well as an artist, Saito formed his own production companyin 1960, which by 1974 developed into Leed Co. Ltd, and continues today to put out its own line of manga, books, and contemporary-interest magazines.
