Product Description

by Sarah Kingdon-Ward (Author), Evie Thacker (Illustrator)

Inspired by the exploits of five-year-old double amputee Tony Hudgell, who walked ten kilometres (6.2 miles) in June 2020, using his new prosthetic legs, to raise money for charity. This charming picture book tells his story in a fun and positive way, asking the reader questions about the text on each page. It encourages the reader to "see the ability and not the disability" just as Tony himself does.

Illustrated by a thirteen-year-old girl, Evie Thacker, with ten bright and cheerful drawings to bring the text to life.

Profits from the sale of this book will go to Tony's chosen charity, the Evelina London Children's Hospital, which saved Tony's life when he was just a baby, and where he still receives treatment including regular adaptions to his proesthetic legs, as he grows, and occupational therapy sessions to learn to use them.
