Author Biography

David Shrigley is a celebrated British artist. His distinctive drawing style combines handwritten humorous text with childlike imagery of animals, people, and everyday still lives. In addition to his drawing practice, Shrigley also creates large-scale installations and sculptures derived from these works, as well as books, videos, photography, and other media. His work is featured in museum collections around the world. Shrigley was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2020 for services to visual arts.
