Author Biography
My only thoughts of becoming a writer came late in life, only after hearing over and over from friends. That told me after hearing some of the accounts of how life was Back in the day! Meaning in the sixty and seventies as I tried to prefect my trade. As I move through the streets of Detroit West Side as a player and pimp. So many of them after hearing what I had to say in regards to my past history! Would say Mr. Pratt you should write a book and tell your story, well I knew this was no small feat! With my education and having no knowledge of how to become a writer. And really not knowing the wealth of time it would take to try and learn the art form. But I found myself in 2002 with a new computer and time on my hands, I decided to give writing my life story a chance. I must say it's been a long task and I'm thankful for all the help I received from some other writers. Who told me to keep trying and don't give up because you fail. And all the rejection I received from all the publishing companies who had turn me down. I always place this in my mind as something I would like to try as I Believed in my book.
As a way of expressing myself on how my life had evolve over the years..... So now I found myself in the twilight years in 2002, I felt the need to try, and put pen to paper. In hopes of coming up whit the true story of my life as I live it!
Is my way some how giving thanks to a lot of people in some small way for me to be able to say thank you. To all the ones that are no longer here who have now past on, after living the life, as a pimp or prostitute. And for them, who plays them self as a player gangster who's life was predetermined. By the very game we played who would live or die! Some of them never were able to have a voice, or be fairly judged because of their life style. So as a pimp for most of my life as well as a player gangster. I felt that my story as I have written it mite give some latitude to the life we live.
