Author Biography

Larry Hama is an Eisner Hall of Fame writer/artist/editor/actor who has is best known as the writer of Marvel's GI Joe and Wolverine comics in the '80s and '90s. He has also written, edited, or drawn for Avengers, Conan, Batman, Wonder Woman, and X-Men, Spider-Man, and doens more.

His illustrations and cartoons have appeared in National Lampoon, Esquire, New York, and Rolling Stone.

His most recent novel is The Death of Captain America, which was also released as an audio book. He has recently scripted Batman: Shadow of the Bat, and Wonder Woman for DC Comics' Convergence Event, and Iron Fist/Heart of the Dragon for Marvel, and Spy Hunter/Paper Boy for DC. He has also recently done layouts for Deathstroke, Damage, and Michael Cray at DC. He is currently writing GI JOE: A REAL AMERICAN HERO for SKYBOUND.

As an actor, he has appeared on TV in M.A.S.H., SNL, and ANOTHER WORLD. He originated the characters of Lord of the South, and Lt. Williams in the 1976 B'Way production of Stephen Sondheim's Pacific Overtures, and has done commercials and voice-overs.

Rod Whigham is a commercial and comic book artist. He began his career in the mid-1980s, drawing G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero for Marvel Comics. Other Marvel titles he worked on are Psi-Force, Kickers Inc, Conan, and Ghost Rider.

Herbert William Trimpe was an American comics artist and occasional writer, best known as the seminal 1970s artist on The Incredible Hulk and as the first artist to draw for publication the character Wolverine, who later became a breakout star of the X-Men.

Ron Wagner is an Illustrator best known for his work for the major comic book publishers such as D. C. Comics, Marvel, Image and IDW. He has worked on titles such as G. I. Joe, Batman, Superman, Flash, Punisher, Ghost Rider, Daredevil and many more.

Besides comic art, he has a deep interest in portraiture and has created many portraits of family, friends and celebrities in all media from pencil and pastel to oil paints.

In recent years Ron has also provided art for many murals locally. Most notably, for the Zombie Burger Restaurants located in Iowa.

Ron continues to make comics, cartoons, portraits and murals from his downtown studio in Des Moines with his trusty guitar by his side.
