Funky Charlie is a fun, direct, witty children's book about hygiene. Charlies a young growing boy who just likes to get up and go. Bathing and self-care are the last thing running through his mind as he gets ready for school. Charlie mom tries to tell him the importance of: Brushing his teeth, showering, washing his face and the up keeping of his attire. But, like most children he does not listen the on-going speech goes in one ear and out the other a term the older adults use. When he gets home, he tells his mother he has learned his lesson: hygiene is much more important than he realized From now on, he will be well groomed and dressed in clean clothes- NO more "Funky Charlie." Charlie's bad day shows how essential self-care and hygiene are for young adolescents.
Author Biography
Since I was a young girl, I've used writing to express myself. I believe writing is a gateway to helping other people, entertaining them, and answering questions. Writing is my form of therapy.
