Product Description

by Rob Hardy (Author)

Here is the true story of Rob Hardy, who in the 1960's was attempting to escape from an abusive father and street gangs. Lured by the trapping of Marine dress blues, he joined the United States Marine Corps. Get into formation and let Rob Hardy, take you on his first of two tours of duty: "From the Streets of Chicago, to the Jungles of Vietnam."

Author Biography

At the age of 17, Rob Hardy, a naïve African American, had dropped out of high school and living hand to mouth working odd jobs to have enough money never to return home to an abusive father; while developing street smarts to stay ahead of the gangs. After enrolling in a one day a week continuation school, there was a visit of a United States Marine Recruiter in dress blues. Struck with awe, wide eyed Rob Hardy, was reeled into an experience that has never been surpassed. Take a trip, and see if you can keep up on one of two tours of duty in: "From the Streets of Chicago, to the Jungles of Vietnam."
