"From the Beginning, Tales of Lawrence County, Pennsylvania" contains some 400+ pages of true human interest stories. Stories cover Native Americans, entrepreneurs, steel industrialists, crime and punishment, valiant soldiers, Black history, women's contributions, and much much more. Representing some ten years of research, these stories include the rise (and sometimes fall) of some of Lawrence County's rich and famous, and the history of New Castle's famous "Coney Island" hot dogs! Accompanying these stories are photographs, primarily from the Lawrence County Historical Society. The author is donating all proceeds to the historical preservation efforts of that organization.
