Her articles have appeared in Good Housekeeping, Victoria, and Southern Accents among other publications. She lives in Danville, Virginia, with her husband, Bob Sexton, dotes on her two grandsons, Benjamin and Matthew, and trades recipes with her children Joslin and Langdon, and her stepdaughter, Erika.
