Author Biography

Steve Gladstone is a Boston-based writer and historian passionate about sharing history and travel in new, innovative ways. This includes marrying traditional writing with photography, video, and Web 2.0 publishing techniques. His latest endeavor, "Freedom Trail Boston - Ultimate Tour & History Guide - Tips, Secrets, & Tricks" combines a traditional book with the web and Smartphone apps to create a unique travel experience. It contains insights, tips and techniques developed during his time advising international travelers at the National Park Service Visitor Center in Faneuil Hall, Boston. Steve is a strong believer that the travel experience should be accessible to everyone, no matter what their means or native language. Travel should be exciting, educational, enticing, broadening, and fun. One unique feature he has pioneered is auto-translate for travel guidebooks, which allows non-English speaking travelers to read in their native language. The reader clicks a link (in the ebook) or scans a QR code (in the print version). The link takes them to a web site where they select their desired language; then using a standard web translation engine, the chapter is then translated allowing the traveler to enjoy their visit as never before. His work can be enjoyed at his blog at http: //www.stevestravelguide.com/ and through his books.
