Product Description

by Victor F. Bongiorno (Author)

Frederick Valentich, flying a Cessna 182L, departed Moorabbin for King Island at 18:19 on Saturday, 21st of October 1978.

At 19:06, just south of Cape Otway, he reported another unidentied craft in close proximity and flying at speeds he could not identify.

Outside radar coverage and alone, Melbourne Flight Service had advised "no known traffic".

Fred never made it to King Island. No trace of either him or his aircraft has ever been found.

Stories regarding UFOs are commonly dismissed or sensationalised. Victor F. Bongiorno, an air charter operator with considerable local knowledge, revisits this cold case forty-seven years on.

He analyses the circumstances and witness testimonies which the official investigators at the time failed to examine and continue to dismiss to this day.
