Todd Skaggs is a author, blogger and host of the Referee Nation Podcast (www.refereenation.com). Todd officiates high school and college football, basketball and lacrosse in Kentucky. Todd's blog, www.profootballreferee.com, contains helpful tips, training information, videos and podcasts centered around improving your football officiating. In 2010 Todd published a book called Forward Progress: Confessions From A Rookie College Football Official. The intent of the book is provide insight from officials at the highest levels on what it takes to improve and move up the ladder. Todd has interviewed over 50 NFL and NCAA officials on their career as well as NCAA conference commissioners seeking what they look for in prospects or as they evaluate new talent. As a result of the interviews, Todd has consolidated all the information, identifying trends and interesting information, then wrote a book for a target audience of aspiring and motivated officials like himself.
