Raised in a devout Southern Baptist family, this pastor had a radical encounter with God while he was alone in his office that not only healed his body, but also healed his relationship with God- a revelation to which he was unaware even needed healing. This book is the story of the journey that ensued, centering around the many testimonies of miracles, challenges, and struggles that come from allowing Jesus to be the lead of a relationship.

Letting God be in charge of your relationship is a challenging thing for us because it requires we always walk in humility, surrendering so much of our desires and thoughts, and He points out things we are often unaware of which need to change. The goal of the writer is to encourage the readers to pursue more with God, no matter how new or different they may be, by explaining what he has learned from his encounters, all the while being mindful of the trials we all face in our individual walks with the Lord. Nevertheless, the closer we get to God, the more we must transform, and sometimes people just need permission, as well as a reminder, to have faith like a child while also building maturity in our knowledge of God. God desires for all of His children to do mighty things, and this book is an attempt to inspire everyone, regardless of background or doctrines, to step into the unknown with God and go further and deeper than they have ever been or knew was possible with God.
