After his friend is killed in Vietnam flying a Marine helicopter, young Paul Stone gives up his dream of becoming a fighter pilot. Author Biography
Patrick Shaub is a helicopter pilot and flight instructor with over 7500 hours of flight experience. The first book in the "Flying the Lifeline" series, "Marine Helicopter Pilot" is drawn from experience as a Marine helicopter pilot and flight instructor. After leaving the Marines, Pat served as an air ambulance pilot. He has over 2400 missions to his credit. Pat has done flight instruction in all fifty of the United States; flown military and commercial flights in East Asia, Africa and to and from many ships and oil platforms at sea; and has experience conducting counter-drug missions in the Caribbean. Pat and his wife Linda have three grown sons (John, Gordon and James) and live on a ranch in the Texas Hill Country west of Austin.
