Author Biography
In a very personal way, the author describes his several escapes from the Nazis, his three year effort to finally reach safety in the United States, his arrival as a penniless immigrant and his return to Europe as an American soldier. He concludes with a description of his efforts in the liberation of the continent and his involvement in denazification after the victory.
