Product Description

by Bruce Ritchie (Author)

Whether you are a pilgrim, Bible student, or intending tourist, this is quite a different book about the Holy Land. It is a reflective travelogue written as a journal of an in-depth study tour and is a remarkable treasury of encounters, conversations, discussions, observations, and analyses of biblical and current events in Israel from Dan in the north to Beersheba in the south. Added to that is the author's thrilling account of a bicycle safari through the Jordanian desert to Petra, culminating in a hike up Mount Sinai!

Author Biography

Bruce Ritchie served thirty years with the Church of Scotland. He has taught systematic theology at Zomba Theological College in Malawi, and has taught Scottish Church History and Understanding Worship at Highland Theological College, the University of the Highlands and Islands, Scotland. He is the author of Columba: The Faith of an Island Soldier (2019), and T. F. Torrance in Recollection & Reappraisal (2021). He has made several visits to Israel, taking part in four sponsored bike rides for the Nazareth Hospital.
