Author Biography

Lori founded Downtown Dog Rescue in 1996 after seeing that homeless dog owners had no resources to care for their dogs Two decades later, her all volunteer non profit organization has rescued and adopted out thousands of dogs. Lori is the 2014 ASPCA Henry Berg award winner, has been honored by the City of Los Angeles, The Los Angeles Department of Animal Services, The Humane Society of the United States, is the 2013 Wallace award winner, 2013 honoree of Found Animals Foundation and 2005, 2012 honored by Best Friends Animal Society. This is Lori's first book.
