Historian Thomas D. "Tom" Perry is the author, editor, or publisher of over fifty books on local, regional, and national history including subjects as vast as J. E. B. Stuart to Andy Griffith from his home base along the North Carolina and Virginia lines in Patrick County, Virginia.
