Product Description

by Lance L. Patterson (Author)

After the eruption of Mt. Pinatubo in the Philippines in 1991, Navy Lt. Lance Patterson, stationed at the Subic Bay Naval Station, started a refugee ministry through a local church and a Bible study in a small village of Aeta people in the jungle led by a man named Fletcher Abraham. In a fast paced and intriguing style Patterson tells the story of a twenty-two year quest after leaving the Navy that would lead him and his family through perilous adventures in Kenya before finally returning to the Philippines to search for Fletcher.

Author Biography

Lance Patterson served eleven years in the military as a pilot in both the U.S. Marine Corps and Navy. He served two tours at VC-5 at Cubi Pt. in the Philippines and witnessed the eruption of Mt. Pinatubo. After the military he taught in a Christian school, and flew as a co-pilot on a corporate jet for John Elway. Then he answered God's call to be a missionary, and moved his family to Kenya where they served for fifteen years before starting a new work among the Aeta people in the Philippines in 2013. He has previously written Wings of Gold.
