Product Description

by Sara Jessica La Russa (Author)

FINDING 13 is a collection of poetry that captures the essence of my life for one year, starting at age 13. These poems and illustrations chronicle the thoughts, feelings, and struggles of a girl entering her teenage years. Drugs, bullying, loneliness, love, friends and family all play a role, and these life experiences are written with thought, and true expression.

Author Biography

Sara La Russa lives in Southern California with her mom, dad, brother, and family dog. She has been writing for about 6 years, and loves to write poetry, and fiction. This collection of poems chronicles the thoughts and feelings of a teenage girl. What started as a 5-poem assignment for school, became a full-fledged illustrated poetry book, consisting of almost 40 entries. She wrote this book to inspire young girls to express their thoughts and feelings through writing, and other positive ways.
